Old art nouveau 1900 fan in black wood - bird decoration and hand-painted oak branch

This stunning antique fan is made of black wood - ebony perhaps. It is adorned with a delicate polychrome bird decoration, oak leaves and hand-painted acorn. The strands are made of thin wooden strips connected by a golden metal wire. The plume is decorated with an openwork engraved brass applique. It measures 30 cm X 38 cm wingspan. It has traces of use (wear, broken or detached strands, missing). It has been reinforced on some strands from the back with tissue paper and water glue. It does not close completely.
