Rinjani pottery coupe Lombok Indonesia Clay and rattan

Bowl, catch-all, pottery salad bowl Rinjani from Lombok, Indonesia. It is made of clay using a unique colouring technique based on tamarind juice and finished with coconut oil. The rim is adorned with traditional rattan (ate) weaving. This piece, dating from the late 20th century or early 21st century, measures 22.5 cm in diameter and 10.5 cm in height. It is in perfect condition, with the rattan and pottery completely intact. Ideal as a catch-all or ethnic decorative piece.
