Small moulded crystal catchall in the shape of an apple, created by the glassworks of Vannes-le-Châtel, France, dating from the 1970s. The thick, luminous crystal features beautiful organic curves typical of the decorative production of this period. The stylised shape of the apple, accentuated by the relief of the leaf, gives the piece both a playful and elegant dimension. As both a decorative and functional object, it easily finds its place on a console, bedside table, or desk, to hold jewellery or small items. A representative piece of French glassmaking craftsmanship from the 20th century. Condition: very good overall condition, with slight signs of use visible inside, no chips or cracks. Catchall crystal, Vannes-le-Châtel, French crystal, 70s design, vintage object, moulded crystal, French glassware, 20th-century design.
