Mid-century wall coat rack with wicker frame, ULUV, 1970s

This mid-century modern wall-mounted coat rack was produced by ULUV and designed by Jan Kalous in Czechoslovakia during the 1970s. Featuring a sculptural oval silhouette, the rack combines beech plywood construction with solid oak pegs, framed by a handwoven wicker border that adds texture and warmth. A rare and highly decorative example of Central European modernist craftsmanship, balancing utility with refined material contrast. Retains its original surface with gentle patina from age and use. Good original condition with minor signs of wear.
