Pair of oak desk bookcases with glass doors.

We are delighted to offer this lovely pair of English legal bookcases in oak from the 1940s, featuring sliding glass doors and carved tops. A very large pair, they can easily accommodate the extensive library of an entire family and more. The glass doors slide open effortlessly thanks to the runners. The tops of the bookcases showcase a nice discreet carved detail. They have been cleaned, waxed, and polished from top to bottom and show normal patina marks due to age and use here and there. One of the doors has been replaced. Dimensions for each unit: Height 170 cm, Width 187 cm, Depth 36 cm. Please note that all measurements are taken at the widest point. This item is available for collection from our warehouses in Wimbledon. Condition: Good, with wear consistent with age and use and slight discolouration. We recommend regular waxing to preserve the original leather and advise against prolonged exposure to direct sunlight.
