Large serving spoon / Ercuis spoon in silver-plated metal

Superb and large pierced serving spoon of the "pilgrim's shovel" type (ideal for biscuits, tarts, cakes or petits fours), signed by the prestigious French high silverware house Ercuis. Material: High-quality silver-plated metal, authenticated by the Ercuis brand and its emblematic Centaur hallmark (as well as the number 3). Delicate cutting and chiselling work in the shape of a shell with star and floral patterns. The handle is adorned with an elegant raised geometric design and a monogram engraved with intertwined initials (M & C). Condition: Good overall condition for an antique collectible piece. It shows slight micro-scratches from normal use over time, which attest to its authenticity. The silver plating retains a beautiful shine.
