Vintage sitting dog in porcelain – Zsolnay Pécs, Hungary. Charming small animal sculpture in glazed porcelain, attributed to the Hungarian manufacturer Zsolnay Pécs, likely made in the mid-20th century. The figurine depicts a sitting dog, with upright ears and an attentive gaze. Its elegant and slightly stylised silhouette resembles that of a shepherd dog. The glossy glaze features beautiful warm shades, ranging from honey brown to golden ochre and cream white. The expressive eyes and delicate green touches on the muzzle and paws add a lot of character to the piece. The dog rests on a small oval white base with subtle green reflections. The underside bears a partially erased blue mark, attributed to the famous symbol of Zsolnay's five towers.
