Neoclassical style designer chest of drawers signed by Maurice Hirsh circa 1960. French neoclassical chest of drawers signed by M. Hirsh. The color of an extremely dark blue-green lacquer and at first glance, appears to be midnight blue, except under bright light. Numbered bronze handles. Storage unit in solid exotic wood. Solid drawers mounted in dovetails. On the back the stamp of the hot iron stamp of the cabinetmaker decorator M. Hirch (Maurice Hirch) Dimensions: height 85 cm depth 43 cm width 101.5 cm. The chest of drawers has a slight repair on the bottom left of a drawer (see photos) and various traces of use. (second drawer from the bottom) Maurice Hirsch was a renowned interior designer in the 1950s and 1960s. Mr. Hirch, renowned for his neoclassical works, revived the Louis XV and Louis XVI standards at the end of the Deco period of design.
