Scandinavian teak sideboard – 1960s

Elegant Scandinavian sideboard in teak from the 1960s, representative of Nordic furniture of its time and its approach combining functionality, quality craftsmanship, and simplicity of lines. Its long and low proportions are highlighted by a particularly well-integrated tapered leg structure. The slightly rounded corners of the top and the body soften the silhouette, while the warm grain of the teak naturally enlivens the various facades. One of the characteristic elements of this sideboard lies in its recessed wooden handles, designed in the form of two superimposed rectangular cutouts. Repeated on the drawers and doors, they create a discreet graphic rhythm along the entire length of the piece. The upper section offers three drawers, while the lower part features generous storage spaces. The central compartment is closed by a drop-down door. The side storage areas complete this particularly functional ensemble. The interiors have been lined with a black Alcantara-type covering, whose dark tone contrasts elegantly with the warm shades of the teak. This vintage sideboard is presented in a beautiful overall state of preservation. It retains marks and slight signs of use compatible with its age and history, visible in all the photos.
