Rice dish with snowy landscape decoration 1830 japan view of one of the twelve lakes of shirakami-sanchi, aomori, northern japan very delicate snowy landscape designs where the white of the porcelain becomes snow on the mountaintops. The rim offers a remarkable brown crisscross on the outer edge. Numerous firing defects on the inner dish and a notable dark color on the edge at "13: 30". The piece was fired in a wood kiln, probably fir or birch. Production for japan, not export. Dimensions: diameter 28 cm, height 7 cm, weight 1450 grams. Very rare.
