Magnificent oil on plywood panel depicting a village in Brittany, dating from the 1950s. It is signed in the bottom right corner by Pierre Edmond Peradon (1893-1981), a French painter and poet. This post-impressionist painting somewhat recalls the style of Cézanne, with very expressive colours and bold shapes! The houses are typically Breton, the cross in the centre of the village, and in the distance to the left, the sea can be seen! The sky is particularly well executed with shades of grey and turquoise blue. The gilded wooden frame was custom-made for the painting. It is very heavy and of high quality. Overall in good condition, please note: some marks and signs of age. Keep in mind that this is an old painting, it may have signs of age and imperfections that make it a unique piece with a story! Please take a good look at the photos in detail, they are part of the product description! Dimensions with the frame: 88 cm long / 67.5 cm wide. Dimensions without the frame: 70 cm long / 50 cm wide. Total weight with the frame: 8.8 kg. This painting will look magnificent in an old or more contemporary living room! Feel free to contact me if you have any questions, I will be happy to respond!.
