Compotier cup ALERION earthenware thistle KG Lunéville - Service of the Empress 1866

Belonging to the elegant service "of the empress" produced by the manufacture of lunéville, this beautiful dish on foot is in blue silkscreened earthenware. This compotier is made of iron earth and has a superb patriotic decoration of cross of lorraine, thistles and alérion. This heraldic animal is a winged crowned eagle without foot and beak - symbol of lorraine. This service was produced to celebrate the arrival of empress eugénie in nancy and lunéville in 1866, on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the attachment of lorraine to the france. On the back is the brand "k & g - luneville". It is an old cup produced in 1866. In good general condition; I report discreet traces of use (scratches, cracks). Dimension: 23 cm X 10 cm high.
