Black Pastoe KM05 wire stool – Braakman & Dekker

Black metal Pastoe KM05 wire stool, designed in 1958 by Cees Braakman and Adriaan Dekker for Pastoe. This Pastoe KM05 wire stool is an original 1960s production. The stool has an open and lightweight construction with a black lacquered steel wire frame and a round seat composed of concentrically arranged steel wires. The minimalist design reflects the functional and transparent aesthetic for which Pastoe became known in the late 1950s. The stool remains in good vintage condition. The frame shows light signs of use and a few small spots of rust, including on the underside of the legs and in two places along the edge of the seat. All joints are firm and intact.
