Oval enameled cast iron casserole, Doufeu model produced by Lecreuset for the Cousances brand, in fact the two competing and neighboring foundries merged in the early 70s. This is model number 16 with a capacity of 6 liters. It was designed for optimal cooking in the oven, but is also perfectly suited to simmering on the fire.
