1950s Decorative bird cage from France

A beautiful metal bird cage on a highly decorative stand, manufactured in france around 1950. This eye-catching piece is made of yellow lacquered metal in a wonderful style, designed with great eye for detail. The cage itself has a flower shape on the top, out of which a brass holder reveals that connects the cage to the impressive stand. It is surrounded by a tubular metal oval shape, connected to the bottom part with elegant legs, brass details end a perforated metal basket. It’s is designed in typical mid-century french style and will combine nicely in a modern, brocante or even industrial decor. Although not suitable to house a live bird, this is a unique piece with a high decorative value that will be a beautiful addition to the decor. As shown in photos, it can be nicely combined with a little glass bird or similar item as a nice finishing touch! Glass bird not included. It remains in good, vintage condition with minor wear consistent with age and use, preserving a beautiful patina.
