Round wall mirror in blue stoneware La Borne Catido floral decoration 1960 - Accidents

Charming wall mirror in glazed stoneware signed Catido on the reverse, with the signature of the ceramist Dominique Dupont. A vintage artisan piece from the 1960s, round and highlighted by a wide stoneware frame with beautiful shades of deep blue glaze mixed with greens, burgundy brown, and black, typical of high-temperature firings from the workshops of La Borne. The top of the frame is adorned with an applied decoration hand-modeled to represent a bouquet of roses and stylised foliage. Overall in good condition. There are 3 major losses on 3 of the leaves at the far right of the floral ornament, as well as a small discreet chip on a small leaf in that area, and other minor defects may be present on the floral decoration but are very subtle. The 3 losses are not jarring; the overall piece remains harmonious. There are a few small rare and discreet stains and scratches on the mirror.
