Large Empire library in solid mahogany, late nineteenth century

This gorgeous series of solid mahogany cabinets has 4 lockable doors and a large central drawer. The upper part of the doors is made of gilded bronze mesh with a mahogany panel at the base adorned with gilded bronze details. This beautiful room is richly decorated with carved gilded bronzes, such as palmettes, ribbon garlands, ionic capitals, diamond quivers and lyres. The doors are flanked by 4 columns and surmounted by 4 pine cones in gilded bronze. The back panel of the central part has been newly lined with vintage linen and received a modern touch with integrated led lighting. Late 19th century.
