Baccarat crystal decanter, Piccadilly model, for Bisquit Cognacs.

Baccarat. Piriform carafe with wine, or whisky, in fine blown translucent crystal with decoration cut with straight and protruding bevels, descending on the belly, and surmounted by a double frieze with square patterns. Original cap to the model (corresponding numbering engraved), in molded, cut and beveled translucent crystal.|carafe initially made, by the house baccarat, for the illustrious brand of cognacs bisquit, founded by alexandre bisquit in 1819, as evidenced by some decorative elements still present on the decanter (medallion in glossy and gilded paper, tied around the collar; sticker indicating the mention "napoleon", etc.).|these are, as far as the carved decoration (the carving) is concerned, the "piccadilly" model; set created in the early 1960s, and produced until the 1990s. The decanter is of course signed by the manufacture de baccarat: we find, on the reverse of the base, the circular seal of the crystal factory, obtained by sandblasting (see photo n°2). Second half of the twentieth century, 1970s-80s.|dimensions: total height of the carafe, with its cap, of 25.50 cm; height of the base of the carafe alone, without its cap, 20.00 cm; diameter at the base, 09.80 cm.|condition report: carafe in excellent condition. Pure and clear crystal, not altered or clouded (shine intact, no limestone veil). Two or three tiny and invisible stripes on the reverse of the base, without any gravity or impact. Any small trace of use on the cap, without any incidence again (it is not even a shock or a chip, simply a small mark of wear, almost invisible again). Overall, therefore, this decanter remains in perfect condition! Very nice object, luxury and old, ideally preserved!.
