Oil jar in sandstone of puisaye XlXe

Magnificent old jar in striated glazed sandstone typical of the pottery of puisaye (france), late nineteenth early twentieth. Probable oil or vinegar maker. 2 handles at the neck, double spout. The irregularities of the material and the quality of manufacture testify to a unique craftsmanship. Ideal in accumulation with other terracotta models. Condition: beautiful patina (khaki and yellow enamel). Beautiful condition despite the splinters and sinkings on the rumen. Other traces of wear related to its age such as the splinters in number at the base (see photos) which do not remove anything from the charm of the object. Size: H38 X d26. Base: d15.5.
