Old light wicker children's chair

A small vintage children's armchair made of woven wicker, with enveloping shapes, that will bring a natural and soft touch to a child's room, a veranda, or a reading nook. The rounded backrest extends seamlessly to the armrests, whose curved frame is covered with fine wrapped splints. The tight weaving of the backrest is adorned with a decorative relief pattern at the top, while the seat, slightly recessed, rounds off at the front into a comfortable bulging edge. Two small loops support the armrests on each side, and the base is reinforced by a cross stretcher, assembled with bindings. Wicker children's furniture, light and warm, has long been part of French interiors and is making a strong comeback in bohemian-inspired rooms. This chair from yesteryear will delight a little one, serve as a seat for a doll or teddy bear, or act as a small decorative display. Overall good condition with a few slightly loosened or broken strands and minor signs of use.
