Victorian office chair Regency Edward & Roberts

We are delighted to offer for sale this exquisite original office chair stamped Edward & Roberts, highly collectible, upholstered in Regency green. A truly magnificent piece of art from every angle. Wider than normal with a more spacious seat, the frame is entirely made of hand-carved English oak. The two front casters bear a slight Edward & Roberts stamp, and an original plaque inside indicates "EDWARD & ROBERTS 148-160 Wardour St, 532 Oxford St, London". The piece has been carefully cleaned, waxed, and hand-polished. It shows signs of age-related patina and use that add to its honesty, charm, and charisma. Dimensions: Height: 95.5 cm, Width: 51.5 cm, Depth: 55.5 cm, Seat Height: 54.5 cm. Measurements are taken at the widest point. This product is available for collection from our warehouses in Pulborough. In good condition with wear consistent with age and use, slight discolouration. It is recommended to wax the leather annually to preserve its moisture; hand-dyed leather should not be exposed to direct sunlight for long periods to avoid drying and discolouration.
