Murano glass vide-poche, Italy, 1960s-1970s. Very beautiful Sommerso work of geode type, combining an intense ruby red core with a thick mass of transparent crystal featuring delicate pale blue hues. The piece showcases a remarkable diamond cut with polished geometric facets that capture light and reveal the depth of the different layers of glass. This massive geometric construction, the Sommerso technique, and the characteristic facet work are part of the Murano productions associated with Mandruzzato, a house known for its "geode" pieces and diamond cuts during the 1960s-1970s. This aesthetic is also found in some creations by Flavio Poli for Seguso Vetri d’Arte. Dimensions: diameter 13 cm – height 6 cm. Very good condition, without chips or cracks.
