Four CH24 chairs in oak with natural paper cord seats. Hans J. Wegner for Carl Hansen & Søn, Denmark, produced in 2007. Original labels present. Designed by Hans J. Wegner in 1949 and produced by Carl Hansen & Søn since 1950, the CH24 “Wishbone Chair” is one of the most recognisable designs of post-war Danish furniture. The oak frame is defined by its distinctive Y-shaped backrest and continuous curved armrest, while the seat is woven in natural paper cord. The set comprises four relatively recent examples, dated 2007 by the original Carl Hansen & Søn labels beneath the seats. While faithfully retaining Wegner’s historic design, the documented production date distinguishes these chairs from earlier examples of the model. Good condition.
