Carved gilded wood wing chair. Signed dienst 86 faubourg st antoine paris. Eugène dienst succeeded his father in 1871 at 86 faubourg st antoine and remained there until the end of the century. He received a gold medal for his pieces exhibited at the 1889 World's Fair. Original gilding, partially worn, beautiful patina. Armchair reupholstered at the beginning of the 21st century, some wear on the armrests. Lumbar cushion added, red color a shade lighter than the armchair.
