"Plia" folding chair in smoked polypropylene and steel by designer Giancarlo Piretti for Castelli. This chair is an iconic model of 70s design and is on display at the Museum of Modern Art in New York. Since its presentation at the Milan Furniture Fair in 1967, it has become a cult object, appearing in the MoMA's Radical Furniture exhibition as an example of "democratic design". The Plia combines a steel structure with a seat and back in transparent polypropylene, making it light both in use and aesthetically. Two chairs available. The plexiglass is in perfect condition. The chrome is pitted at the rear legs (see photos).
