Wrought iron fire screen with spider sculpture, 1970s

This fire screen represents the artisanal wrought ironwork of the 1970s, crafted in black-finished wrought iron with a metal mesh background for spark retention. The front frame incorporates an openwork spider web structure topped by a prominent raised spider sculpture in the upper section. The base features arched feet ending in solid spheres that provide stable support in front of the fireplace opening. The top includes a carrying handle defined by curved scrolls for easy movement. In addition to its protective function, its sculptural design makes it ideal as a focal point for Halloween or autumn seasonal decorations, easily fitting into gothic, rustic, or eclectic style living rooms.
