If you are a lover of furniture with a simple and functional design, you are certainly familiar with the estonian firm luterma specializing in the manufacture of wooden furniture, famous in particular for its collaboration with two of the main members of the bauhaus movement: walter gropius and marcel breuer. Made in the early 1930s, this pair of curved wooden chairs is characteristic of the factory's work, with its pierced plywood seat representing a five-pointed star. Solid and comfortable, it is in good general condition given its age. The wood is nicely patinated and the seat polished by the years. Note traces of paint in places and many brands of use. Seat height: 46.5 cm. Another pair identical to the slightly higher seat (48 cm) is also available.
