Admire its ample, almost feminine curves—three successive waves that invite the hand to follow their dance, a veritable ballet of delicate lines capable of softening even the most contemporary interiors. Come closer: the blond walnut veneer glows with honeyed reflections, creating a delicate checkerboard pattern where each diamond seems to beat to the rhythm of an invisible heart. Come even closer: here, the bronze finish is more than just decoration. The forms impose nothing, they suggest: a leaf that stretches to embrace the curved leg, a volute that rises and then falls back, and, at the center of each drawer, a keyhole escutcheon crowned with a rocaille sun – a small wreath inviting the unveiling of its secrets… a reminder of a world where every detail mattered, where one didn't decorate, but told a story. - Origin & Period: France/Italy, mid-20th century (technical file available upon request supporting this attribution) Excellent condition: Marble top with a smooth, satiny surface, punctuated by a few micro-imperfections that are virtually invisible with use. Chest of drawers displaying a beautiful consistency of color and patina. Note, however: a few localized, discreet veneer chips (mainly on the front), as well as some slightly warped surface areas, typical of old veneer subjected to humidity variations over the decades. Drawers slide perfectly. Ornaments have retained their original luster, some more oxidized than others. Original key retained, bit partially cracked, lock mechanism not functional.
