Splendid example of Ligurian artistic ceramics from the Albisola district, dating from the mid-20th century. This elegant plant holder or cachepot on a pedestal is entirely hand-painted with a vibrant marine motif: stylised fish and coral branches, an unmistakable signature of the Rayon manufacture. The colour palette in shades of turquoise blue, emerald, and yellow makes it a piece of great character, ideal for Coastal, Riviera, Mid-Century Modern interiors or for collectors of Italian art ceramics. Technical details: Manufacture: Rayon Albisola (Italy) Period: Circa 1950 Signature: Hand-signed under the base "Rayon Albisola" Dimensions: Height 21.5 cm | Top diameter 17.5 cm Weight: 1.2 kg Condition report (Vintage with signs of time): The item is an original vintage piece that shows signs of use reflecting its history. For maximum transparency, please note: a chip (glaze skip) on the upper edge, small glaze losses on the profile of the base and on a coral decoration (revealing the underlying red terracotta). A network of natural crazing is visible under the glaze, entirely consistent with the period of manufacture.
