Rare post-war modernist ensemble attributed to the famous Belgian architect and designer Willy Van Der Meeren, consisting of a coffee table and two restored armchairs. A major figure in post-war Belgian design, Willy Van Der Meeren is recognised for his functionalist and social approach to furniture. Inspired by the Bauhaus, this ensemble perfectly illustrates this aesthetic: black tubular structure, very architectural graphic lines, colourful melamine panels in yellow, and metal legs reminiscent of Eiffel constructions. The coffee table features an elegant rectangular yellow melamine top resting on a very visually light black Eiffel wire structure. The top retains its original patina with some signs of use consistent with its age, including two small chips visible in the photo, which do not detract from the overall appearance of the piece. The two armchairs have been restored by a professional. The seats have been reupholstered while retaining the original speckled black and yellow fabric. The yellow backs create a particularly successful chromatic dialogue with the table. Table dimensions: * Width: 90 cm. * Depth: 55.5 cm. * Height: 37 cm. Armchair dimensions: * Width: 63.5 cm. * Depth: 60 cm. * Height: 67.5 cm. * Seat height: 41 cm.
