GEORGES FLAKENBERG - 6 SILVER FRUIT KNIVES

Set of 6 silver fruit knives by the silversmith Georges Falkenberg (active from 1894 to 1928). The silver-plated handles are stamped with the Minerva mark, as are the blades, which are also made of silver. In a reinterpreted Louis XVI style, the chic, refined, and timeless decoration of the handles features oblique fluting, crossed ribbons, small floral garlands, and a rounded "violin" end. It is noted that two blades, slightly wider, bear the signature G. FALKENBERG PARIS as well as the Minerva mark and the silversmith's mark, while the other four blades only bear the Minerva mark and the silversmith's mark. In very good condition, with some signs of use on the blades. French work from the late 19th century to the early 20th century, stamped with the Minerva mark. Dimensions - Weight of the knives: 303 grams. Length of the knives: 20.5 centimetres. Width of the two blades signed Falkenberg, at their widest: 1.8 centimetres. Width of the other four blades, at their widest: 1.5 centimetres. Width of the knife handles, at their widest: 2 centimetres. Thickness of the handles: 9 millimetres.
