Side Table by Mathieu Matégot, France circa 1950

Side table, originally designed as a record holder by French designer Mathieu Matégot, circa 1950. This unique piece is distinguished by its cylindrical tubular metal structure forming the base, and the use of white re-lacquered perforated sheet metal, a signature element of Matégot's work. The whole seduces with its visual lightness and the asymmetry of its four shelves, some in glass and others in perforated sheet metal, which offer a beautiful storage space.
