English armchair G-Plan

Cane-backed armchair by G-Plan, England, late 1970s. English dining chair combining an afromosia frame in golden brown tones with a cane backrest and reupholstered seats in Bisson Bruneel boucle fabric. Sold individually. Their slender silhouette rests on four tapered legs, slightly angled at the back. The armrests create an angular line that extends into delicately curved supports towards the seat. This movement adds a sculptural dimension to the overall simplicity. The backrest features a central cane panel. Its transparency lightens the composition and highlights the contrast between the wood grain, the amber hue of the cane, and the texture of the seats. Elegant around a table, they can also serve as office chairs or extra seating. G-Plan label preserved under the seat. In excellent overall condition, close to new in presentation. Seats reupholstered in Bisson Bruneel fabric. Some light signs of wear remain on the woodwork.
