Overview. Circa 1930 French Art Deco stool/pouff, referred to as a "Laundry" tabouret, with a hinged fold-up lid that reveals internal storage. Design. Ebonised, polished wooden legs and a compact, boxy Art Deco silhouette with vertical stitched panels for a geometric look. Upholstery. Upholstered in Backhausen (Vienna) fabric from the "Wiener Werkstätte" collection in black, grey, tan and white colour tones. Features. Hinged fold-up seat providing access to storage; corded piping around the top and vertical panelling detail for period character. Dimensions.
