Large compote dish Terre de Fer

Antique faience, Lyonnais model from the H. Boulenger factory dated between 1880 and 1910. Creamy white ceramic with blue/green decorations, friezes depicting flowering branches and small birds. Terre de Fer is a term designating a type of fine faience that appeared in France in the late 18th century and is recognised for its durability. Footed dish, compote dish or biscuit dish in very good condition. No chips, with some brown marks inside the dish, and discreet glaze cracks across the compote dish, normal signs of age. Max diameter 25 cm. Base diameter 12 cm. Height 13 cm. Smaller matching compote dish sold separately.
