Elegant set of three vintage side tables designed by Cees Braakman for Pastoe. A refined and minimalist design in which the warm appearance of rosewood is combined with slender metal bases. The set consists of one wide rectangular table and two smaller, square tables that can be used separately or together. The smaller tables can be completely slid under the large table, creating a compact and functional whole. The rosewood veneer is particularly beautiful, with a pronounced and lively grain pattern. The deep reddish-brown color shades and dark lines give the tops a rich appearance and form a nice contrast with the sober, dark-finished metal frames. The thin tabletops appear to float above the bases, a characteristic detail of Dutch modernism from this period. The set is in neat vintage condition. The rosewood veneer is very well preserved. The metal bases show slight oxidation and subtle signs of use, appropriate for the age. Dimensions are as follows: height 41 cm, width 68 cm, depth 40 cm. Carefully selected vintage design. Professionally restored where necessary, with respect for the original design, craftsmanship, and materials used.
