Dining table and 3 Ripples stools by Toyo Ito.

The glass and wood dining table and its 3 Ripples stools by Toyo Ito, a Japanese architect originally from Seoul and winner of the Compasso d'Oro 2004, form a collection. Several layers of solid wood (5), including walnut, mahogany, cherry, oak, and ash, make up the seats of the 3 stools and the glass top of the table. The touch is soft to the hand. The aesthetic effect resembles ripples in water. The table (referred to as a bench) is enhanced by 2 supports at each end on which a 1cm thick glass plate rests. The stools (size 41x30x45H) have a discreet metal support under the seat. Made in Italy, this set was purchased in Paris in 2010. There are no defects except for a few small scratches on the glass.
