Enfilade mid-century "The Bourgeois of Vendôme"

Having travelled between Toulouse and Vendôme during the 20th century, this piece of furniture arrived to us under a layer of grey paint. After a week of restoration in our workshop, "Le Bourgeois de Vendôme" reveals its original splendour. Inspired by the elegance of late Art Deco and the Leleu style, this sideboard in teak, rosewood, and lemon wood marquetry brings a warm and theatrical presence to our interiors sensitive to the history of French art. Returning to the roots of mid-century style, this 3-door sideboard from the 1940s features a refined shape that reveals its central display cabinet equipped with a glass shelf. We appreciate the light brought by the mirror placed at the back and the assembly of the 5 glass panels that follow the curves of the glazed door, inviting the two full marquetry doors to reveal their shelf. A drawer with a cord-shaped pull handle is placed beneath the display cabinet, reminiscent of the gilded corner pieces that crown the columns. The top is designed in the same aesthetic vein with the presence of geometric marquetry playing on the blending of teak and rosewood.
