Cheese holder / cake plate GIEN vintage – Vine leaves on fo

Superb handled dish signed GIEN France, in honey/ochre deep glazed earthenware. It is decorated in relief with large vine leaves set against a woven wicker background, with a rope edge. A very "majolica" style, perfect for presenting cheeses, cakes, tarts, or petits-fours. Details: Gien mark (castle) stamped on the back, with "France" mention. Central handle in gilded metal, shaped like a bamboo stem, fixed with a screw. Glazed earthenware with original crazing. Diameter: 30 cm. Period piece, from the 60s-70s. Condition: good overall condition. The dish shows the normal patina of age: fine crazing of the glaze, small irregularities in the glaze on the rim and underneath, slight oxidation at the base of the handle.
