Pair of Scandinavian wall lights by Louis Kalff for Philips, 1960s

A classic of Scandinavian design, these wall lights by Louis Kalff for Philips feature large, ogive-shaped shades of satin-finish opaline glass and a black metal frame for easy hanging. The satin finish of the glass provides superb lighting. The Philips logo is on the socket. Louis Kalff was one of the brand's leading lighting designers at the time, and he even created the famous logo. This model is featured in the 1962 Philips catalog (photos attached).
