Hand-knotted Oriental rug, probably wool on a cotton foundation, dimensions 287 × 237 cm. Floral pattern in Persian style, with a beige/gold background and decoration in shades of blue, red, ochre, and cream. Rug purchased in Moscow over 25 years ago. Exact origin undocumented. It has been professionally cleaned and is in excellent overall condition considering its age. Some slight irregularities and colour variations may be visible, which are normal for an antique hand-knotted rug.
