1960s “Throw Away” Sofa by Willie Landels for Zanotta, Italy

An iconic 3-seater sofa, model “throw away”, designed by willie landels and manufactured by zanotta in italy around 1960. This beautiful, modern piece was the first sofa made completely from expanded polyurethane, structureless and industrially made. It has no wooden or metal frame, which was innovative and unseen at the time! The modern style of the piece is timeless, making this piece of design history a valuable addition to any interior! It is upholstered in white vinyl. It has the manuafcturer’s tag and even comes with the original booklets, as shown in the photos. It remains in good, vintage condition with minor wear consistent with age and use, preserving a beautiful patina.
