A very beautiful floor lamp created by Emilio Lancia in the mid-1940s. This model is characterised by a rigorously architectured vertical composition. The polygonal section shaft adopts an elongated line that affirms Lancia's pursuit of balance and monumentality. The whole piece perfectly illustrates the Italian Art Deco language of the designer: refinement of proportions, discreet linear decoration, and a combination of noble materials within a controlled formal sobriety. The mirrored surface is highlighted with golden fillets and stylised geometric patterns, arrows, fitting into a controlled and symmetrical decorative vocabulary. The circular painted wooden base ensures structural stability and enhances the chromatic contrast. Its hemispherical opaline glass diffuser, mounted on a brass head, softens the light. A very beautiful piece that perfectly illustrates the Italian Art Deco aesthetic of the time. This floor lamp has been fully restored, with the brass elements polished and the electrical system completely redone.
