Small dish compotier Villeroy - Boch

Compotier or small dish servant old on pedestal in earthenware enamelled sky blue octagonal shape.stamped "villeroy - boch / mettlach / made in saar-basin" (green stamp used from 1918 to 1935). Chances are this dish dates from the 20s or 30s. Very good structural condition (no accidents, hair, gin or shine), beautiful soft color and bright enamel are all witnesses to the quality of villeroy and boch productions. Traces of use of course (thin superficial stripes, not very visible) and age: thin cracks on the entire surface of the enamel and alteration of color (dying spots diaphanous) that give it a patinated look on a timeless shape. It's not a korean celadon, but this little dish still exudes a lot of charm and character! Dimensions: diameter 24 cm, height 5 cm. Careful mailing.
