Elegant pair of side tables designed by Severin Hansen and produced by Haslev Møbelsnedkeri in Denmark, circa 1960. Crafted in richly figured rosewood, these tables are exemplary of Hansen’s refined and architectural design approach, characterized by clean lines, precise joinery, and beautifully tapered legs. The tabletops display a striking and highly decorative symmetrical grain pattern, carefully selected and mirrored to enhance the natural beauty of the wood. This attention to detail reflects the high level of Danish cabinetmaking craftsmanship associated with Haslev. Versatile in use, these tables function perfectly as side tables, occasional tables, or can be placed together as a compact coffee table arrangement. Both pieces are marked with the original manufacturer’s sticker underneath. They are in excellent condition. The rosewood surfaces are very well preserved with minimal signs of wear and the construction remains solid and stable throughout.
