Unusual Johannes Sorth bookcase in oak. It was manufactured by Nexo Møbelfabrik in Bornholm in the late 1950s or early 1960s. The absolute majority of his bookcases and chests of drawers were made in teak, some in rosewood. Oak is absolutely rare. Overall size of this bookcase is H: 182 / W: 100 / D: 43 cm.  It is a marvelous example of high-quality Danish mid-century modern carpentry combined with elegance and functionalism. The bookcase consists of three adjustable shelves and a spacious cabinet with sliding doors and an inner shelf. Crafted from beautiful oak wood, the bookcase features slightly rounded edges and a nicely carved base, adding lightness to the construction. All of these elements add a touch of warmth and intimacy to any interior. The bookcase is in original condition. There are some minor signs of use and a couple of small dark stains on the main top and on the sides. It is fully functional, though, and the look is consistent with its age - more than 60 years. Please view all the pictures, and in case of doubts, contact us in advance. The serial number has been preserved on the back. Additional dimensions: Height to the countertop: 72 cm. Ground clearance: 19 cm.
