Antique salad bowl signed Hamage & Moulin des Loups, featuring a floral design in deep raspberry tones and bluish-grey foliage, delicately set against a warm cream background, highlighted by a fine burgundy line. An elegant and timeless palette, typical of the fine productions from northern France at the turn of the century. Its faceted shape, resting on a subtly undulating base, gives it a refined sculptural presence, both soft and graphic, making it very decorative on a table or as a centrepiece. Stamped Hamage Moulin des Loups: this model dates from the period 1900–1920, when the northern pottery industry experienced an artistic golden age, bridging the legacy of Art Nouveau and the beginnings of Art Deco. Diameter 23 cm, height 9 cm. In beautiful vintage condition, with a lovely shine, normal fine usage cracks for a piece of this era, a few tiny chips on the edge, and a defect resembling a chip on the edge as well (see photos). Perfect for a poetic slow life decor.
