Set of 8 Baumann bistro chairs in bent beech, France circa 1930.

Very beautiful and rare set of 8 bistro chairs. One of the first models by Swiss furniture designer Emile Baumann, made in France around 1930. Entirely made of bent beech wood, stained and finely varnished, it is characterised by the quality of its joints, its heart-shaped backrest with 3 flat rungs, and its laminated seat. Height of the backrest 84 cm, seat height 47 cm, width 37 cm, depth 45.5 cm. In superb used condition with a magnificent patina, these chairs will be perfect around a large farmhouse table to welcome family and friends. Not to be missed!!!
