Vintage enfilade in ash and mahogany circa 1950s

Vintage sideboard from the mid-century, circa 1950. The sideboard is made of ash and mahogany and rests on tapered legs. It comes from its first owner, who had it custom-made by a cabinetmaker in 1959. The top is made of solid ash. The drawers and the sliding doors of the storage compartment are veneered in ash. The storage features a removable shelf with a green edge and two sliding doors inlaid in a chevron pattern (see photos). It includes 4 functional bevelled drawers with their original green Bakelite, brass, and zamak handles (see photos). The first and third drawers have a horizontal pattern, while the second and fourth display a vertical pattern (see photos). The interior of the drawers and storage shows slight signs of wear due to age (see photos). The side panels, made of mahogany, are shaped like shark fins (see photos). Overall in good condition, original and vintage. It shows some marks and normal signs of aging, as well as a patina on the top, side panels, drawers, sliding doors, handles, shelf, and inside the drawers. Legs (see photos). There are some discolouration areas on the left side panel (see photos). Previous veneer repairs on the top edge of the side panels and at the back, at the bottom of the left side panel (see photo). Previous repair at the lower left corner of the top drawer (see photo). The top has been renovated, and the whole piece has been cleaned, oiled, and waxed. All photos were taken outdoors in natural light, so colours may vary depending on brightness, reflections, and perspective. A superb piece with a fluid design. The side panels, rounded corners, and the combinations and patterns of the woods and tapered legs give it lightness, height, and elegance.
