For the handle, it is difficult to determine if it is ebony or bakelite, we lean more towards bakelite. These knives are beautifully made, they bear the brand kindal stainless steel. This suite has 12 large knives and 11 small ones, we sell the whole. The knives are in good general condition, we report some friction, stains and scratches of use on the sleeves and blades, three blades are slightly blunted and a slight accident on a handle.
